ESG Now

DataCore® · One input, multiple outputs

DataCore® brings all of your company's sustainability data into a single foundation.

DataCore® is the data architecture that ESG Now's four solutions run on. Each piece of information is recorded only once, with its source, owner, date and evidence, and becomes available to the emissions inventory, supplier chain management, sustainability reporting and audit preparation, with no new collection and no manual transcription.

One input, multiple outputs

Two solutions record the primary data and two put it to use.

EasyCarbon® and SafeChain® capture information at the source, alongside whoever produces it. TrustReport® and AuditReady® use that same information to build the reporting output and the compliance evidence. Because the repository is shared by all four solutions, information already recorded by one of them is read by the others without a new request.

Five data flows run through the platform.

In every one of them, information is captured once and reused with its source preserved.

SafeChain®EasyCarbon®

Scope 3

Consumption, transportation and waste disposal data provided by suppliers is collected once in supply chain management and feeds the inventory's Scope 3 categories. A second data collection campaign with the same companies is no longer needed.

EasyCarbon®TrustReport®

Emissions by scope

The completed inventory feeds the report's emissions indicators, already broken down the way each adopted framework requires.

SafeChain®TrustReport®

Value chain risk

The supplier maturity and risk assessment makes up the report's value chain chapter, drawing on the same data source that procurement tracks day to day.

EasyCarbon®AuditReady®

Calculation trail

Emission factor, source and owner stay linked to each entry and travel with the figure when an audit requests the calculation trail.

SafeChain®AuditReady®

Documentary evidence

Certificates and documents submitted by suppliers are reused as evidence in audit and certification processes, within their respective validity periods.

A single foundation eliminates three rework steps.

These are specific steps in the process, not a generic productivity gain. They exist whenever each sustainability workstream keeps its own spreadsheet.

  1. 01Collection

A single campaign covers both supplier chain management and the inventory's Scope 3 categories. The supplier answers once, and that same answer is what the report and the audit consult later.

  2. 02Consolidation

Information moves between solutions with no intermediate export. Transcribing values from one file to another, where errors creep in without a trace, no longer exists as a step.

  3. 03Close

The number in the report and the number presented in the audit are the same calculation, read by different solutions. Reconciling documents is no longer necessary.

Every number records its source, change trail and evidence.

A single data foundation answers the question an auditor asks when requesting where a number came from.

Source

Each value records the solution that captured it, the document or entry it came from and the date it was recorded. Provenance travels with the data itself.

Trail

Changes are documented with author and date, and the previous record is preserved. The auditor gets the history of how the number was built, not just its current state.

Evidence

The document attached in supplier chain management is the same one presented in the certification process, within its validity period, with no second folder of supporting documents kept in parallel.

The foundation starts taking shape with the first solution you subscribe to.

Subscribing to one solution already structures the repository the others will use when the next requirement arrives, with no data migration and no restarting collection.
